IDR101-1 Biological Aspects og Exercise 1

The aim of the study is to give students basic knowledge in:- The human physiology in relation to physical activity- The importance of physical activity in an individual and public health perspective

Physiology Basis of cell physiology and biochemistry Circulation system Respiratory system Metabolism Temperature regulation Fluid balance Endocrine system Health Pathology Physical activity and public health Diet and nutrition First-aid Sports injuries

Teaching will be given as lectures, practical work, demonstrations and group work. Parts of it may be compulsory - please see the course brochure.

The course will have two exams and both must be passed. Part A counts 50% and is a graded 3-hour written individual exam which is arranged mid term Part B counts 50% and is a graded 3-hour written individual exam which is arranged at the end of term The course will be given one final mark.
