HSI408 Understanding Technology

After having completed the course, the student will: have acquired a general understanding of how information systems may be developed, introduced, used and evaluated in the health and social sector be able to actively participate in the planning, organising and use of information systems in the health and social sector have knowledge about methods for creating ICT-strategies in the health and social sector and be able to use these be able to participate in the evaluation of information systems in the health and social sector be able to actively contribute to the planning and management of introductory projects with regard to ICT know, use and evaluate tools for project work

development and implementation of information systems the application of ICT related to goal achievement in organisations evaluation of information systems in the health and social sector preparation and observation of project plans, quality assurance plans and measures for cooperation within project groups project management with examples taken from the health sector

Net-based study programme, including two week-long seminars. Lectures and study groups.

A graded 3-hour individual at-home examination
