Preliminary Course for Engineers

After completing the course, the student is expected to have: received an introduction to physics to start engineering studies developed skills to solve physical problems with mathematics as a tool acquired an attitude to the physics role within technological and environmental approaches

Motion, force, mechanical energy, fluidmechanics, thermophysics, the gas laws, electricity, waves and light waves.

Lectures 4 hours per week and exercises 2 hours per week in groups.

Satisfactory submission of compulsory exercises.

Written examination, 5 hours (50 % contribution to final mark) and portfolio (50 % contribution to final mark). Graded mark. The portfolio must be assessed to Pass to take the written examination.
