ERN101 Lecturing and practice 1

After having completed the course, students will have further developed their knowledge and skills regarding food and health. They will discover opportunities within the field and receive advanced experience from in-school teaching practice and guidance.

The course includes the following topics: concentration in selected topics from main sections in L06 interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary instruction communication and conflict management childrens differing needs adapted education Food and Health as a practical resource subject in the primary school IT and other teaching aids in Food and Health entrepreneurship developmental work as a basis for professional change processes practical cooperation with the local community Food and Health in the Nordic countries teaching practice in the primary school

Working forms may include lectures, group work, practical and subject-didactic assignments with presentations as well as problem-based learning. Students will complete major practical or theoretical projects, receiving guidance on either an individual or group basis from the course instructor. Parts of the instruction will be obligatory, and information regarding this requirement will be given at the start of the semester.

Students must have passed: ERN101 Lecturing and Practice 1 obligatory participation teaching practice all work requirements as outlined in the course schedule

The final examination consists of a major project preferably completed on a group basis and presented for fellow students. Differentiated marks will be awarded to student projects, and they must receive a passing mark before being allowed to be presented to the internal/external examiner. In addition to their presentation, students will be examined individually on the reading list. Either the presentation or the oral examination may adjust the mark received by individual student projects.

Theoretical and practical, compulsory.

Bachelor level, normally first year.
