ERN100 Nutrition and Health 1
After having completed the course, the students will: be able to assess the Norwegian diet know how data related to nutrition are obtained know what kinds of diets help prevent life style diseases be able to assess food safety
diets for special groups diseases related to diet and lifestyle references to information about diets research related to nutrition development of the Norwegian diet Norwegian nutritional policy additives and foreign matter in food food infections and food poisoning various techniques in industrial food production genetically modified food
Instruction includes lectures, group work and assignments with following presentations. Parts of the instruction may be compulsory. Information will be given at the start of the semester.
The students must have: passed ERN100 Nutrition and Health 1 approved required attendance passed one group requirement which is further outlined in the course brochure
A graded 4-hour written individual examination
