After having completed the course, the students will: have acquired knowledge and skills with regard to food and health have knowledge about various modes of instruction and assessment have experience from supervised teaching practice in primary school
The course includes the following topics: food and health in ´Kunnskapsløftet´ LK06 major theoretical sections of L06 food and lifestyle food and consumption food and culture the topic´s history and ideological basis teaching forms working with annual schedules supervision and assessment of pupils entrepreneurship professional ethics teaching practice in nursery school/primary school
Instruction includes lectures, group work, practical and didactic assignments with presentations with individual supervision, assessment, folders, theme and project work, problem-based learning, computer use and excursions. Parts of the instruction are compulsory. Information regarding this requirement will be given at the start of the semester. It is important that the students experience how the subject Food and Health is adapted and integrated in everyday school work. Teacher education students who take this course in their third year will have 40 hours of field work in a primary school. Teacher education students who take this course in their fourth year will carry out a research project related to their field work ( TLF008), equivalent to 14 days of work.
Students must have: approved compulsory attendance passed the field work periods passed compulsory work requirements according to the course brochure
