DAT104-G Multimedia Design

On successful completion of the course, the student shouldbe able to: - Show a professionalised view with regard to layout of both interactive and passive media. - Be capable of creating interactive and passive media designs with a professional touch. - Be able to give a record of central issues in interactive design. - Master software for raster graphics, vector graphics and layout on a semi-professional level.
How to analyse and plan a multimedia project with special emphasis on interactive design. Introduction to the use of colour, sound, animation, text and layout to strenghten a presentation. The structure and operation of central graphic software (vector and raster graphics) and training in the use of such software. Layout software.
Lectures and laboratory lectures with practical training. The exercises take place in the computer laboratory on customized computers with specialized hardware and software. A laboratory engineer, student assistant and/or course lecturer is present. The students get training in the use of professional software. The classes are split into groups of suitable sizes so that all students get access to necessary equipment and the help they need to do the exercises.
Students must pass the compulsory assignments in order to take the examination. The compulsory assignments are given in Fronter by the start of the semester.
