Statically determined and undetermined constructions, practical and theoretical considerations. Forces and displacements, stress and elasticity Balance, compatibility and constitutive equations Energy methods, Castigliano's theorem, method of unit load Principle of minimum potential energy Virtual displacement principles Method of displacement, matrix statics Truss work element, joist element Matrix statics for truss work and frames, method of displacement Matrix of stiffness for joist and truss work Element analysis and system analysis, transformation of system of coordinatesAnalyses are concentrated on statically determined and undetermined frame constructions.

Lectures 2 hours per week and exercises 2 hours per week.

Satisfactory submission of compulsory exercises.

3-hour individual written examination under supervision. Graded assessment.
