BYG203-G Road and Terrain Computer Modelling
Civil Engineering, Bachelor Programme , 2-year Programme in Civil Engineering, 2-year Programme

Norwegian.
After completing the course, the student is expected to be able to apply computer tools.
Expanding the knowledge on the design process of roads and area plans, with emphasis put on using computer programmes. Based on a crash-course in using the software, a major project is conducted by the students. Also, a series of lectures concerning road building and environmental engineering is given.
Lectures 2 hours per week and exercises/laboratory work 6 hours per week in groups.
Satisfactory submission of compulsory exercises, participation on excursions and course in NovaPoint..
Written examination, 4 hours (60 % contribution to final assessment) and portfolio with project work in group (40 % contribution to final assessment). Graded assessment. The portfolio must be assessed to Pass to take the written examination. The project work is to be presented plenary that may give basis for individual assessment on the group work.
