BYG109-G Water and Wastewater Engineering

After completing the course, the student is expected to: master the principle and manner of operation for different methods for treating water, wastewater and sludge know and be able to use the equations and formulas for dimensioning and service of water, wastewater and sludge
An introduction to methods and structures to treat water and wastewater. Attention is paid on alternative methods for processing the water, and also on dimensioning, maintaining and operating installations for such purposes.
Lectures 2 hours per week and exercises/laboratory work 2 hours per week. Compulsory participation on some exercises is required.
Satisfactory submission of compulsory exercises and compulsory participation on some exercises.
3-hour individual written examination under supervision. Graded assessment.
