BIO104-1 Human Physiology and Anatomy

On completion of the course the students shall be able to account for the structure and operation of the human body, particularly the central organs and the operation of complex functions such as temperature regulation, hormonal regulation and human reproduction.

The structure and operation of the human body is covered, particularly oriented towards the structure and function of the skeleton, muscles, neural system, sensory systems, respiratory system, lungs, digestive system and kidneys. Complex functions such as temperature regulation, hormonal regulation and human reproduction are also covered.

Teaching is comprised of lectures and laboratory exercises. Laboratory exercises are compulsory, and written reports must be delivered for all exercises. A theoretical introduction will be giver before, and a summing up in succession of each laboratory exercise. Voluntary multiple choice tests during the course, and feed-back on laboratory reports, comprises the basis for individual, non-counting assessment.

All compulsory exercises must be approved before the students are allowed to take the final exam.

Written individual multiple choice test,1 hour and 15 minutes. Differentiated grades.
