BE-404-1 Incentives in Organisations

Upon completion of this course students should be able to: understand how to use formal models to analyse various incentive problems. evaluate how various employment contracts works .... use a model way of thinking to develop operational incentive systems in organisations.
Based on economic analysis, the course will provide the students with a framework for understanding and analysing different organisational topics. The theoretical framework will mainly be principal-agent, transaction cost, and property rights theory. These theories will be used to investigate incentive problems in contracts relevant to both public and private enterprises.
Lectures and group work, 4-5 hours per week
