BE-309-G External Relations of the Enterprise
Bachelor's Programme in Business Administration
Autumn
The student is expected to acquire knowledge in how enterprises function together with other enterprises in the region and how the enterprise may contribute to a dynamic regional industrial environment. The student is also expected to gain experience in the use of common market theories. The student is expected to understand the purpose and the content of a business plan and learn how to present a consept for sale to an investor or a customer. The student is expected to have an understanding of why the social respnsibility of the enterprise is cinsidered as important. Further, the student is expected to be able to assess the sicial responsibility of the enterprise.
Theories of relations between enterprise and region with emphasize on how enterprises may create regional industrial environments and encourage its ability to innovate and to gain competitive stregth. Use of common market theories to analyse both purchases and sales at a specific enterprise. How to develop a business concept and a business plan, including market srveys and an analysis of profitability of a prosject. Main models of industrial sale, both domestic and international. An introduction to the concept corporate social responsibility (CSR). Internal as well as external CSR behaviour will be exemplified.
Introductory and follow-up lectures. Tutorials related to the enterprise stay and report writing. The students will give presentations on the campus sessions and give feed-back to each other.
A report counting 50%, normally written by two students.
Induvidual home exam counting 50%. Graded marks.
