The study programme can be applied by engineers and others with relevant college or university education.

Information and communication technology has established itself as a foundation for all kinds of businesses and industry. We will in the years to come see an increasing need for qualified personnel that master our new digital reality. The students can choose courses from the bachelor´s programme in Computer engineering (branches of study: Computer Science and Network Management and Security) and the bachelor´s programme in Multimedia technology and -design. Together with a study coordinator the students put together their individual study plans according to their interests and previous knowledge.

On successful completion of the graduate programme of Computer Science, the students should have higher competence in computer engineering and multimedia according to their individual previous knowledge and fields of interests.

Ordinary lectures are optional, but many of the subjects taught include compulsory exercises, field work and laboratory exercises. These have to be carried out satisfactorily before the candidate is allowed to sit the final exam. The schedule includes exercises and laboratory work in order to give all the students access to the equipment and/or assistance to complete the exercises. The students must expect to work more than the scheduled hours to complete the exercises to satisfaction. Assistant lecturers/student assistants may not be present during all the scheduled periods.

The grades are based on written exams, project work, compulsory exercises and/or an oral examination. The assessment or evaluation may show the grade pass or fail, or marks from A to F, where A is the top grade, the lowest pass grade is E. For more information, please refer to the course descriptions and the current exam regulations.
