The programme has a distinct didactic profile and students will during the programme be introduced and trained in educational research and development work.

Studieplanramme

The learning outcomes will vary according to the elective specialisations On successful completion of the programme, the students should - have a professional analytical skills - be able to plan, organise, implement and assess communicative, training and/or educational activities in various contexts or - have a basis competence within the areas Civilization and Equal Opportunities

Lecture, literary analysis, group work, seminars, practice teaching seminars, guidance and training in managing meetings/groups as well as presentation forms, use of ICT, research and development work. Students will learn to work both individually and in groups. Group works are compulsory and there will be no opportunity to hand in an individual work instead of a group work. No groups are completed until all students attend to a group. Students organize their own groups, if any students fall outside, he or she will be placed in a group by the lecturer. The groups may consist of 3-5 students.

The assessments will vary according to the distinctive character of the modules and will consist of: home assignments, essays, group and project assignments and presentations - individually or in groups.

Third-year students may spend one or two semesters atttending a university with which Agder University has a collaborative agreement.

Completion of the programme provides students with the professional skills necessary for being able to plan, organise, implement and assess communicative, training or educational activitiesin in various contexts. Relevant employment opportunities include the following: - schools and educational, administrative and pedagogical centres - cultural and after-school activities (SFO, clubs, volunteer organisations) - social work related to children and adolescents - technology and ICT in relation to education and communication completion of the Bachelor's Degree Programme in Education qualifies the graduate to continue on to the Master's Degree Programme in Education.
