High School diploma or High School equivalency exam or relevant work experience. Students also need to pass an entrance exam.

The students will receive knowledge of drama and theatre as an art. The programme will develop their knowledge and skills in dramatic expression. The student will also receive knowledge of interdisciplinary work and how to use this in projects. This education qualifies for work as a drama teacher in Secondary School and High School.

Studieplanramme

On completion of the programme students are expected to - achieve professional qualifications in fine arts - achieve didactic qualifications and social competence

This programme is organized in periods where practical work, lectures and seminars are included in a totality. The programme has its focus on practical work. Most of the practical work takes place in groups. Compulsory attendance will be required for parts of the courses (see course description). Integrated theoretical and practical work. The students will receive guidance to help to develop their own personal skills. Practice training from 12-14 weeks is included in the programme.

A study abroad programme may be included in the 6. semester of the programme. Students may spend one semester at a university with which Faculty of Fine Arts has an agreement. Contact Student mobility adviser for further information about current exchange institutions.

This programme qualifies for work with theatre in Primary and Secondary School, and for work in School of Music and Arts. The programme qualifies graduates for Master`s degree programme in Theatre.
