The Examination Regulations of the University of Agder regulate the graduation requirements for each programme of study.
On successful completion of the programme students will: - develop their skills to spread knowledge about art, handicraft and design, and to inspire children and youth in their creative work in suitable materials. - receive knowledge in research methods, and they have to do a research and development project.
The programme is organized as lectures, group seminars and individual guidance. The course begins with common collective work. After finishing the common work, the students will work with their own research and development project. Compulsory attendance. The four workshops will be available in the afternoon.

This programme qualifies for work with arts and crafts in Primary and Secondary School.
The students have to pay a fee equivalent NOK 1500,- for materials.
