The students must have a bachelor degree in Performing music (180 ECTS) or equivalent and pass an entrance exam. Applicants from non-Nordic countries must document language skills in Norwegian and English according to particular rules. Closing date for applications: December 15th.
Course contents: - MUK305 Main Instrument (40 ECTS) - MUK306 Chamber Music (15 ECTS) - Optional course (5 ECTS) The list of relevant optional courses wil be presented at the beginning of the semester.

The Examination Regulations of the University of Agder regulate the graduation requirements for each programme of study.
On successful completion of the programme students are expected to -Have acquired skills in performing music on a high artistic level -Make use of their main instrument in different kinds of music teaching -Develop creative and independent work methods as a student as well as in future work situations
The students will aquire a substantial technical and musical foundation for future assignments as a teacher or a performer.Independent rehearsal on the main instrument is an important part of the study programme. The programme makes use of individual lessons and group lessons, seminars and projects. A part of the work is chamber music activities, where the students may work with students on other advanced programmes of performing music.
