The students must have a bachelor degree in Performing music (180 ECTS) or equivalent and pass an entrance exam. Applicants from non-Nordic countries must document language skills in Norwegian and English according to particular rules. Closing date for applications: December 15th.
Course contents: - MUR308 Main Instrument (40 ECTS) - MUR309 Chamber Music (15 ECTS) - Optional course (5 ECTS) The list of relevant optional courses wil be presented at the beginning of the semester.

The Examination Regulations of the University of Agder regulate the graduation requirements for each programme of study.
On successfull completion of this programme students should be able to - Develop creative and independent work methods as a student as well as in future work situations - Acquire knowledge of musical styles and learn improvisation in ensemble.
The students will aquire a substantial technical and musical foundation for future assignments as a teacher or a performer. Independent rehearsal on the main instrument is an important part of the study programme. The programme makes use of individual lessons and group lessons, seminars and projects, with at least one individual lesson per week.
