Studies and courses for exchange students
The University of Agder offers a large number of courses taught in English at both undergraduate / bachelor and postgraduate / master level.
In addition to courses taught in English, UiA offers a 10 ECTS Norwegian course every autumn, and courses in German and Spanish.These are also open to students from partner institutions.
On these pages you will find the curriculum for the courses that are available to exchange students for the academic year 2012-2013. Minor changes may occur before the start of the semester.Courses at postgraduate / master level are only available to students at postgraduate / master level at home university whereas courses at undergraduate / bachelor level are open to all students. ___________________________________________________________________________

| Faculty of Humanities and Education |
The Faculty of Humanities and Education offers the following 30 ECTS credit (full semester) programmes:
- Norwegian Society, Education and Culture (NORSEC) - autumn
- Course package in Humanities and Education (NO133+TFL 110+ TFL 111) - autumn
- Comparative Educational Studies (PED216 & PED221) - spring only
- In addition, the Faculty of Humanities and Education offers many individual courses that exchange students are free to choose from. In order to follow courses in Norwegian, you need good knowledge of the language. The complete selection and descriptions of all courses can be found here.
Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences
The Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences offers courses taught in English in Business, International Management, Information Systems, Political Science, Sociology and Development Studies. A full overview of available courses can be found here.
In addition, the Faculty runs a summer school from June - August. If you are interested in the summer school, please apply directly to the European Integration Summer School.

| Faculty of Health and Sport |
Every spring the Department of Sport offers its popular 30 ECTS (full semester) Outdoor Education and Nature Guiding programme. The course comprises of two courses and it is necessary to study the full package. More information on the courses can be found here: Basic Outdoor Activities Theory (10 ECTS) and Outdoor Education 2-Field trips (20 ECTS). Please note that to take the Outdoor Education and Nature Guiding course, you must be physically fit and be able to swim. All autumn courses in the Department of Sport are taught in Norwegian.
The Faculty of Health and Sport also offers practical placements in Social Education and Nursing to students from partner institutions. There are no ordinary classes but supervision and guidance may be given in English. More details can be found here.
