Research

The research coordinators are a central part of the faculty's research activities:

Bjørg Seland : History
Pål Repstad : Theology/Philosophy
Unni Langås : Literature
Helge Omdal : Linguistics

The coordinators are appointed for a period lasting until July 31, 2007 and are also members of the faculty's research and PhD committee, FOFU. Through close contact with the academic staff, the research coordinators map the staff's research interests, competence and opportunities. Using this as a basis, and in accordance with their mandate, the coordinators take measures (for example, the use of mentors) to supplement the staff's research competence.

FOFU is headed by the dean. The head of the PhD commitee at the Department of Nordic and Media Studies, Marit Aamodt Nielsen is also a member of the committee. In addition, the administrative research coordinator, Lene Jacobsen and the faculty director participate in the meetings.
