The Management and Organisation of Teacher Education Unit
The Dean of the Teacher Education Unit is the professional and administrative head of the different teacher education programmes. Each programme has its own coordinator. Together they form an academic administration.
The faculties at the University of Agder are professionally responsible for teaching the subjects in the various teacher education programmes.
The University of Agder publishes an overall plan - the Samlet Plan - for each year of the teacher education, pre-school teacher education, postgraduate certificate in education, and specialist teacher education in practical and aesthetic subjects. The Samlet plan contains course descriptions connected to the compulsory parts of the education, including the plan for teaching practice, guidelines and central documents. This document ensures efficient cooperation between students, tutors, lecturers, schools / pre-schools and the academic and the administrative staff.
