Research Collaboration between Mzumbe University and the University of Agder

Project TAN 58 (1988 - )

In the first years of the Mzumbe Universy/University of Agder - partnership (1988-1997), the collaboration was organised in a number of separate projects linking faculties of the two institutions with similar research interests. Since 1997 the collaboration has been organised in four research clusters:

  • Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development
  • Gender
  • Local Government
  • ICT (established in 2000)

The two universities are currently in a process aiming at prolonging the partnership till 2011 under a new model of cooperation between Tanzanian public universities and the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Dar es Salaam.

The NUFU-project 2007-2011: Governance, Gender and Scientific Quality (GGSQ)

This is a bilateral cooperation project between Mzumbe University (MU, Tanzania) and University of Agder (UiA, Norway) for the period 2007-2011 with a total funding of 3.4 NOK funded by NUFU(cf Norad).

AFRIQUAL: Scientific quality in qualitative research in Africa ( SQ)
