From China to Grimstad to present Master Thesis

Students of the Master programme in ICT, Erik Trædal and Arild Finne, presented their master thesis in Grimstad recently after six months at Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China.

After 20 weeks of intense work with their master thesis at one of China's five best ICT universities, Trædal and Finne are happy to have presented a very satisfactory master thesis, which involves making mass sms mailings on a mobile broadband network more efficient.

Advisor Ole Christoffer Granmo and study programme coordinator Stein Bergsmark both believe that Trædal and Finne have done good work in China.
"These are two fantastic ambassadors for AUC, and they have done an excellent job with their thesis," brag coordinator Bergsmark from the Faculty of Engineering and Sciences.

Finne and Trædal are most pre-occupied with getting used to the Norwegian weather again after several months in China's "hot pot" where the thermometer climbs to a frightening 40 degrees. It's back to thick coats and wool socks for the newly returned travelers. And jobs, of course.
"Yeah, now it's hopefully possible to get a good job in my hometown Kristiansand," says Arild Finne.
"For my part, I'll go wherever my dream job may be, maybe a Norwegian company in China," adds Erik Trædal.
