The Engineering Conference Southern Norway 2009
We recently employed one of Norway’s leading experts in solar energy, Anne Gerd Imenes, in a 20% post as associate professor. We also have a new post as postdoctoral fellow in renewable energy / distributed generation technology available
Within the PhD programme of mobile communications, UiA is going together with Ålborg University and NTNU for presenting a summer school in mobile technology.
Due to our strong cooperation with the industry in the region, we are now able to offer three new posts in Renewable Energy.
On the 8th March, Faculty of Engineering and Science informed 250 female pupils from collages in Agder County in order to attract more female students to the engineering education. Associate Professor Sara Persson and Professor Geir Hovland presented the Mechatronic studies and demonstrated how a robot can be used in product development work.
During his stay at Aalborg University, Harald Naeser from AUC’s Faculty of Engineering and Science in Grimstad has had a good opportunity to study this field of research.
Students of the Master programme in ICT, Erik Trædal and Arild Finne, presented their master thesis in Grimstad recently after six months at Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China.
The JBU company and owner Johan Benad Ugland invited Rector Ernst Håkon Jahr and Managing Director Tor Aagedal to the official signing of the "campus agreement" in the Technology Park in Grimstad in December.
An important solar cell conference was arranged in Dresden, Germany in September. Agder University College was represented by Professor Tor O. Sætre who presented research results from the Energy Park.
