Facilities in Grimstad

Department of Engineering and Department of ICT are located in Grimstad, a pleasant small town with 18,000 inhabitants on the southern coast of Norway. Grimstad is situated 50 km east of Kristiansand. The campus has modern facilities, with modern lecture theatres, laboratories, study halls and library. In addition there are rooms of suitable size for group activities and areas for self-study. Furthermore, students have access to a number of modern, well-equipped computer and multimedia laboratories. In addition to the computer laboratories, wireless LAN is installed on the campus. Student accommodation is available within walking distance of the campus, as well as a day care centre for the students' children. Grimstad is well known for its lively student environment and offers a large variety of leisure activities.

We put great emphasis on international cooperation, both in terms of student and staff exchange and research. The Faculty has Socrates cooperation agreements with many European universities. In addition, the Faculty has bilateral agreements covering Double Diploma programmes and Master programmes with partner universities in Europe and the United States.
