Prof. Dr.-Ing. Frank Reichert Since July 2005 he is with UiA (University of Agder, formerly Høgskolen i Agder) in Norway, undertaking research in wireless communication networks and services. Cooperations include projects with Ericsson on wireless residential networks. He is the Dean of the "Faculty of Engineering and Science". From 1995 he was with Ericsson Sweden, guiding investigations on, e.g., Future Service Layer Architectures, Wireless Internet technologies, and 3G applications and terminals. Assignments included creating and managing European Research projects (e.g. EUREKA Subproject PRO-COM, ACTS OnTheMove). Frank established Ericsson Cyberlab Singapore in 1999, focusing on user centric, ethnographic application and terminal design, as well as rapid prototyping of new HW/SW products exhibited at fairs like CeBIT 2001 and COMDEX (e.g. Ericsson Cordless WebScreen, Delphipad, Nanorouter). He was board member for Singapore CWS (Centre for Wireless Communications). He has been working as an expert, evaluator and auditor for the European Commission in industrial R&D frameworks such as RACE, ACTS, 5FP, 6FP, and Celtic Calls 1-3. Dr. Reichert holds a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Aachen University of Technology, Germany. He has published about 50 papers at international conferences on the mobile technologies. Prof. Dr. Frank Y. Li During the past few years, he has been a main participant in several Norwegian research projects and EU FP6/FP7 projects, such as ADHOCSYS which is financed by the European Commission under the strategic objective "Broadband for All" and S2EuNet financed under the Marie Curie Actions. Dr. Li is a Senior Member of the IEEE. He is listed as a Lead Scientist by the European Commission DG RTD Unit A.03 - Evaluation and Monitoring of Programmes in Nov. 2007.
Frank Li has more than 100 papers published at various international journals and conferences. He has served as a reviewer or/and TPC member for various international journals and conferences, including IEEE Transactions on Communications, IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications (JSAC), IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Communications Magazine, IEEE Wireless Communications Magazine, EURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, Wireless Personal Communications (Springer), Elsevier International Journal Simulation Practice and Theory (SIMPRA), IEEE GLOBECOM, IEEE ICC, IEEE VTC, IEEE WCNC, IEEE ISWCS, etc. He is also interested in standardization activities within IETF MANET, W-OSPF, IEEE 802.11s etc. |

Lei received his BE in Telecommunication Engineering and ME in Communication and Information System from Hunan University and Shandong University, China, in 2005 and 2008 respectively. He obtained his Ph.d degree in September 2012 from University of Agder, Grimstad, Norway. He is now working at University of Agder as a postdoc researcher. His research interests include positioning algorithms for WSN and mobile terminals, intelligent transportation systems and ad hoc networking. His current research focuses on MAC and routing design for cognitive radio networks, automatic data collection for ECO-boats.

Ghislain Maurice Norbert Isabwe Maurice received BEng in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bharathiar University (India) in 2002 and MSc in Communications Engineering from The Robert Gordon University (UK) in 2007. He also holds a Master of Philosophy in Advanced Telecommunications awarded by Swansea University (UK) in 2011. From 2002 to 2005, he was a Network Administrator for the National Social Security Fund of Rwanda. He is been teaching Hardware and Networking Students as a part-time Instructor of Kigali Institute of Science and Technology, Rwanda from 2002-2006. From 2005 to 2007, Maurice served in the Ministry of Public Service and Labour (Rwanda), as Head of ICT department where he was involved in various ICT projects. In 2007, he joined the Networks Research Group at the Institute of Advanced Telecommunications, Swansea University, UK as a post-graduate research student. From 2008 to 2010, Maurice joined the Welsh Video Network (WVN) in UK, as a Field Service Engineer. At WVN he was working with universities and colleges to integrate Videoconference technology into teaching and learning. He joined the Agder Mobility Lab in August 2010 as a PhD Research Fellow. His research work is in the area of Future University Learning with emphasis on the applications of Mobile Technologies and IT Tools in teaching and learning. |

Yohanes Baptista Dafferianto Trinugroho Dafferianto Trinugroho received his double master's degree (M.Sc.) in informatics from RWTH Aachen University (Germany) and University of Trento (Italy) in 2010. Prior to that, he received his bachelor degree (B.Sc.) in computer science from Gadjah Mada University (Indonesia) in 2006. He worked for PT. Pasifik Satelit Nusantara (Indonesia) as Network Operation Center (NOC) engineer from 2005 to 2007. During his graduate study, he did a mandatory internship at Fraunhofer FIT (Germany), and a student research assistantship for CATS RWTH Aachen (Germany). During the thesis period, he did an intern in parallel at Ericsson Eurolab (Germany). He joined Agder Mobility Lab (AML) in November 2010 as a PhD Research Fellow, focusing on eHealth service provisioning in smart home environment based on Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA). |

Lakshmikanth received his Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad in 2005; and a Master’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi Technological University, India in 2008. From 2009 - 2011, he was working at the Vignan University as an Assistant Professor within the School of Electronics. Lakshmikanth joined AML in January 2012. His research interests are in the area of Mobile Adhoc Networks, Wireless Sensor Networks and WiMax. His current research focus is on Green Wireless Communications. |

Indika Anuradha received the B.Sc. Engineering degree in Electrical and Information Engineering with first class honors from University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka in June 2008. From Nov. 2008 to Aug. 2009 he was a Technical Product Engineer attached to Huawei Technologies Lanka Co. Ltd. During Aug. 2009 to Aug. 2010, he was a Lecturer in the department of Electrical and Information Engineering in University of Ruhuna. He received his MSc. Degree in ICT in 2012 from University of Agder (UIA), Norway after completing two years Masters’ program in ICT. From Sep. 2012 he is working as a PhD research fellow attached to the department of ICT in UIA. Indika’s research interests are broadly in the areas of mobile communication networks, using theoretical techniques to model wireless ad hoc networks. The current research focus is directed towards the modeling MAC strategies for multi-channel cognitive radio networks (CRNs) and reliability analysis of cognitive radio networks. Another active area of research is in analyzing the performance of wireless sensor networks aided CRNs. |

Martin Gerdes was born in Germany a few days after the Apollo 11 mission took the first human being to the moon. He received his diploma degree (Dipl. Ing.) in Electrical Engineering from the RWTH Aachen (Germany) in 1998. In 1993 Martin joined Ericsson in Germany as student helper, and was employed as Research Engineer in 1999. For nearly 20 years he has worked on IP based communication solutions in fixed and mobile environments, partly in public funded projects on national (German) and international (EU) level. His research in cooperation projects with multiple internal and external, national and international partners ranged from mobile payment solutions, voice recognition and speech synthesis services, fixed-mobile convergence solutions for residential environments, and automotive communication with focus on safety and infotainment services utilizing cellular communication. Assignments included working as a solution architect in Tokyo/Japan for half a year in 2004. Martin has published numerous scientific papers, and presented prototypes at multiple international congresses (e.g. Mobile World Congress 2010+2011 (Barcelona), ITS World Congress 2009 (Stockholm) + 2010 (Busan, S. Korea), CTIA 2010 (Orlando, Florida)). In September 2012 Martin has joined UiA (University of Agder) at campus Grimstad as a PhD Research Fellow, focussing on eHealth and ICT solutions to provide smart and context aware support to patients, doctors and health care service providers. |

Gerard received a Bachelor’s Degree in Electromechanical Engineering from the Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) in 2005 and a Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Technology from the University of Science and Technology, Beijing (USTB) in 2010. He has been employed by the Rwandan Ministry of Education as a trainer for teachers of Electrical Technology at ETO Kibungo in 2004-2006. From January 2011, Gerard works at KIST as an Assistant Lecturer, teaching various undergraduate courses in Computer Sciences as well as Electrical and Electronics engineering. He is also involved in research work and has published in the KIST Journal of Science and Technology. Gerard joined the AML in November 2012 as a PhD candidate at the University of Agder. His research work is in the area of Internet for emerging economies. |

Dr. Andreas Häber Andreas received his MSc in Information and Communication Technology in 2005 from Høgskolen i Agder (HiA). His MSc project with Teleca AS, Norway, and the University of New South Wales, Australia, compared current messaging solutions for cellular systems with future IMS alternatives. Andreas was heading the research for HiA's cooperation with Ericsson in the "ONE" project 2005-2008 on wireless short-range services for mobile devices in residential networks. He has investigated the applicability of the DLNA/UPnP AV architecture for WiFi enabled cellular devices and was awarded a PhD in 2010. |

Dr. Ram Kumar Ram has joined us since Sept. 1st, 2006. He has an Masters degree from University of Liveprool, UK., and obtained a PhD from the University of Agder in 2011. He has worked with companies like D-Link and academic startups like PicoPeta Simputers before commencing his research with Agder Mobility Lab. Ram's research focus is on routing, protocols, and naming/addressing in next generation networks in Beyond IP context. |

Fang Chen (Ken) Fang Chen (a.k.a Ken) was granted his MSc in ICT in 2007 by Høgskolen i Agder (HiA). His MSc project, with Ericsson Research Germany, was about designing a suitable architecture to enable non-IMS devices to use the IMS services. Ken joined the AML since August 2007, and he is now focusing on research of people centric Next Generation applications. |

Dr. Hongzhi Jiao (Jason)
Hongzhi Jiao (Jason) received the M.Sc. degree with specialization in control theory and control engineering from Wuhan University of Technology (WHUT), China, in 2007. He received a PhD from the University of Agder in 2011. |

Dr. Xin He Xin has been majoring in signal and information processing, especially the space/time/frequency signal processing technology in mobile communications as a PHD candidate in Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) in China. She continued her research work at the University of Agder (UiA) and was awarded a PhD in 2012 by UiA. She joined AML in the 'Secure and reliable Wireless and Ad hoc COMmunications (SWACOM)' research project in March 2008. Her research focused on the wireless mesh networks, Ad Hoc networking, routing, MAC and cross-layer design in multi-hop wireless networks and related areas. |

Dr. Anis Yazidi Anis received his MSc in Information and Communication Technology in 2008 from Universitetet i Agder (UiA). He received his PhD in 2012 from UiA. Anis was heading the research for UiA's cooperation with Ericsson in the "BYNG" project 2008-2011 on wireless communication networks and services. |

Dr. Ziaul Haq Abbas
Abbas received his Master of Philosophy in Electronics degree from Quaid-e-Azam University, Pakistan, in 2001. Afterwards, he joined GIK Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology, Pakistan, and worked as a Research Associate. His academic interests have been in the field of DSP and communications.
Abbas was awarded a PhD at UiA in 2012. |
