Prof. Vicent Pla visited AML in week 35 2008
Associate Professor Vicent Pla from Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (UPV), Spain visited AML in August 2008. During this visit, he gave two lectures on Markov chains and network performance, and one public presentation entitled 'Optimal robust policies for bandwidth allocation and admission control in wireless networks'.

Prof. G. S. Kuo visited AML in week 27 2008
Professor G. G. Kuo from Beijing Univ. of Posts and Communications (BUPT) and National Chengchi University in Taiwan, who was the Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Communications Magazine in 2001, visited AML in July 2008. During his visit, he gave a public presentation entitled "Space-frequency Subchannel Allocation and Adaptive Modulation in SDMA MIMO OFDM Beamforming Systems with Limited Feedback ". He also gave one lecture at our Ph.D. summer school which was jointly held with NTNU and Aalborg University.

Prof. Ulf Körner visited AML in week 19 2008
Professor Ulf Körner from Lund University in Sweden visited our lab in the beginning of May 2008. During his visit, he gave two lectures on queueing theory and one public presentation entitled 'Trends in Mobile Communications'. The public presentation was well attended not only by UiA professors and students but also participants from industry like Ericsson and Devoteam, and administration body Norwegian Post and Telecommunications Authority.

Prof. Hans-Peter Schewel visited AML in August 2007
Associate Professor Hans-Peter Schewel from Aalborg University in Denmark visited AML in August 2007. During his visit, he gave one intensive Ph.D. course "Wireless Network Performance Evaluation", and one public presentation entitled "Adaptive replication for dependable mobile services".
