Master Mechatronics - Part Time Studies

The Master's Programme in Mechatronics is structured in such a way that it is possible to attend the programme part-time over a period of 4 years, as an alternative to the 2 year full-time programme. The target group for the part-time programme is engineers with a bachelor's degree, working in the industry and who are being given the opportunity by their employer to study 1-2 days per week towards a master's degree.

The study schedule for the part-time programme is as follows:

Semester 1 (1 day per week - autumn):
Mathematics for Mechatronics, MA-417, 5 ECTS
Machine Technical Systems for Mechatronics, MAS403, 5 ECTS

Semester 2 (1 day per week - spring):
Mathematics for Mechatronics, MA-417, 5 ECTS
Machine Technical Systems for Mechatronics, MAS403, 5 ECTS

Semester 3 (2 days per week - autumn):
Mechanical Material Technology, MAS406, 10 ECTS
Modelling and Simulation, MAS407, 10 ECTS

Semester 4 (2 days per week - spring):
Industrial IT, MAS400, 10 ECTS
Electrical Drives, MAS401, 5 ECTS
Hydraulic Components and Systems 2, MAS402, 5 ECTS

Semester 5 (1 day per week - autumn):
Instrumentation, MAS502, 5 ECTS
Finite Element Method, MAS504, 5 ECTS

Semester 6 (1 day per week - spring):
Start work on the Master thesis, MAS500, corresponding to 10 ECTS

Semester 7 (2 days per week - autumn):
Control Theory 2, MAS501, 10 ECTS
Product Development 2, MAS503, 10 ECTS

Semester 8 (2 days per week - spring):
Completion of the Masters thesis, MAS500, corresponding to 20 ECTS

Alternatively, Semesters 1 and 3 can be swapped, in addition to Semesters 2 and 4.
