Students can choose between three programme options within the Bachlor Programme Civil Engineering, The first year of study is identical for all three branches of study. The choice of the specific branch takes place early in the 3rd semester. The branches of study are:

Structural Engineering

The student will develop basic skills for understanding the nature of building materials, theories of design of constructions, methods of computing responses, principles for land use on the basis of theories for human behaviour and knowledge of civil acts and regulations. Computer aided design (CAD) is an important part of the programme.

Enviromental Engineering

The student will develop basic skills for understanding the theories of design of constructions, urban planning and planning of municipal technical constructions, methods of computing responses, principles for land use on the basis of theories for human behaviour and knowledge of civil acts and regulations. Computer aided design (CAD) is an important part of the programme.

Energy Design

The student will develop basic skills for understanding the overall solutions providing effective energy-saving buildings and neighbourhoods, good indoor environments, at the same time both highly functional and economical.

   
 

One of the admission requirements is documented proficiency in the Norwegian language.
