Research at Department of Information Systems

The department faculty actively contribute to both national and international research within the field of Information Systems. The research includes analysis, design, development and implementation of Information Systems, giving particular attention to the interaction between technology and organisation. There is an extensive collaboration with industry and public sector in the region, in which Master Degree projects are an important basis for research projects.
The department offers a PhD programme in information systems, focusing on research areas such as e-Government (including e-Democracy and e-Participation), Enterprise systems, Global information systems, ICT and development, Knowledge management, Business process modelling, IS evaluation and benefits management.

Conferences and workshops

The department regularly hosts an international workshop (KIWISR - Kristiansand International Workshop on Information Systems Research) inviting a panel of leading IS researchers.
