Welcome to Metochi
Monks have walked this path for almost 500 years. The path leads into the courtyard of Metochi, which is a part of the Limonos Monastery in Lesbos. Since 1993 Metochi has been a study centre for the Norwegian University of Agder. Enter in – to a stay characterized by hospitality and reflection, conversation and quiet.

In connection with Metochi Study Centre’s 10-year anniversary in 2003, an informal cooperation with the Norwegian art photographer Knut Bry was initialized. His generous contributions resulted in a series of gift cards and a poster with Metochi motives. All the photographs found on Metochi’s web pages are by Knut Bry.
