Admission requirements Passed One-Year Education Study Programme or a minimum of 50 ECTS credits in education/special education/didactics. Students attending the General Teacher Education Programme must have completed the first three years.

General description and profile of the programme The Advanced programme in Education consists of courses belonging to the third and fourth terms in the Bachelor's Degree Programme in Education.

Graduation requirements The Examination Regulations of the University of Agder regulate the graduation requirements for each programme of study.

Learning outcomes After having completed the programme, students should - have a basic understanding of formative concepts, professional curriculum studies/educational professionalism and didactics from a Nordic perspective

Teaching methods Lectures, discourses, group work, literature studies, counselling and oral presentations. ICT-based support programmes will be utilised.

Assessment methods Individual home assignments and individual essays on given topic.

Occupational profiles of graduates and access to further studies The programme provides a basis for educational practice in different areas in which educational skills are required, and is also a component in the Bachelor's Degree Programme in Education. Completion of the programme may qualify applicants for admission to the Master´s Degree Programme in Education
