WIRELESS NETWORK
A new certificate for the wireless network (eduroam) was installed on the 4th. of February 2011.
Portable PC with Windows operating system
We have developed a small application you can run that will automatically configure your laptop. This requires that you use the Windows wireless client. If you run this program before the planned installation you will not be affected by the changes.
Portable MAC and other Apple products
Apple Products (including iPad) will generally ask for approval of the certificate. Upon approval, they will connect automatically.
Eduroam at UiA (WLAN)
If you use Windows, you can download and run a file that configures the wireless connection automatically:
Automatic configuration of Eduroam
Note that this assumes that Windows itself handles the wireless connection.
Alternatively see below for how to manually configure the wireless adapter for your computer:
Windows:
Windows 7
Windows Vista
Windows XP
Other platforms:
OS X (Mac)
iPad
Ubuntu
Mobile Phones
IT Services does not provide support for wireless connection for mobile phones. However, we hope you will find these user manuals for mobile phones helpful.
Certificate for Mobile Devices
If you lack the safety certificate you can find it here. This must be downloaded to your mobile phone and installed before it will work:

Other units
If you want Eduroam but do not have the operating system, PDA or mobile phone listed above, you can often find information on how to configure it at other institutions. You can also find information at: http://www.eduroam.no/klient/.
