Everyone gathered on the steps before the stay in the village with KKN program from Gadja Madah Univeristy

Most of us arrived at Yogyakarta airport late in the evening on the 1st of February after a few days sailing around in Komodo National Park. We stayed at Prambanan Hotel where we enjoyed the facilities that had a very nice standard. In the morning, we assisted four lectures at Gadja Madah University. Then, in the afternoon, the ones who wanted went off to see Prambanan temple, the largest Hindu temple that originates from the ninth century. The rest went back to the hotel to relax before meeting up at the Norwegian House (Rumah Norwegia) for pizza and a short briefing about the home stays.

We then spent five days in Desa Beji which can be read more about under findings .

After the stay we arrived back to Prambanan Hotel. The next morning some went out to visit Borobudur temple, which is an eighth century Mahayana Buddhist monument. After the visit, all the students gathered up again with interpreters and facilitators at the Norwegian House in a closing meeting where they handed out mugs with the name of students in the groups and diplomas for completing the KKN program that the university runs. KKN stands for Kuliah Kerja Nyata (Field Work Experience) and is a program where students stay in villages and contribute to the villages at the same time as they learn about the village life. In the evening everyone was invited for the final dinner, where gifts where handed out to Emil and Jørgen for the aid they had given us during the study tour.
