Abozar Alabakhshizadeh

Abozar Alabakhshizadeh was born in Masjedsoleiman, Iran, in 1980. He received B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees both in Electrical engineering - Power from SRTTU and UTM in 2007 and 2009, respectively.

His final year Bachelor’s project was entitled as “Design and Build an Eight – Pole Stepper Motor” and his master thesis was entitled as “Generators’ Bidding Strategies in the Competitive Electricity Market”.

Abozar was awarded Gold Medal and Best Student Award for securing first position in Master of Engineering (Electrical – Power) based on excellent academic achievement by UTM. At the same time he ranked as the first class Iranian student in Malaysia by Scientific Counselor and Director of Iranian Student Affairs in South East Asia.

Since August 2010, he has been working on his PhD thesis under supervision of Professor Ole-Morten Midtgård at UiA. His current research interests are including power electronics, renewable energy and photovoltaic systems.
