Curriculum Vitae

Alireza Borhani was born in 1985, in Iran. He received his bachelor’s degree in bio medical engineering, bio-electric branch, in 2007 from the Researches and Sciences unit of Azad University. His final project entitled “Digital Modeling of the Genetic Networks” was awarded as the best final thesis in 2007.

In September of 2007, he joined the master programme at the University of Shahed, Iran. From 2007 to 2010, his major was "information theoretical aspects of multi-antenna broadcast channels" and his final thesis was entitled "Maximizing the Number of Active Users in Multi Antenna Broadcast Channels". He has published and reviewed several papers in this research area.

Since January 2011, he has been working on his PhD thesis supervised by Professor Matthias Pätzold at the University of Agder in Grimstad, Norway. His current research works include information theoretical aspects of non-stationary MIMO channels.

On a personal side, his religious and political views are free-thinker and democratic, respectively. His favorite quotation is "the best or nothing" and he loves nature, camping, and climbing!
