Faculty of Humanities and Education
Are you interested in studying people's thoughts, motivation and learning? Or learning more about the languages, history, beliefs or literature of different cultures? This is what humanities and education is all about.
| The faculty offers studies in Nordic language and literature, English, French, German, education, religion and history. We also offer study programmes in communication studies, translation and intercultural communication, and philosophy (examen philosophicum/examen facultatum). The faculty has 170 faculty and staff members and about 2650 students. |
The faculty is organised into 4 departments, all of which are located on the main university campus in Kristiansand. The two wings of the faculty building are named after the pioneering feminist writer Camilla Collett and theologian Kristian Schjelderup, who both had strong ties to Kristiansand.
